Notes for ABRAHAM WOLF:

Church records state he died at 82 years, 6 month and 21 days. Would calculate to.05/10/1799. However, in the 1850 census Abraham was 40 yrs old. I have adopted the 09/10/1810 date based on the 1850 census and the 1820 census that indicated Abraham was under 10 yrs. old. - M. Varuolo

Abraham Wolf purchased a farm in Franklin Twp., which can be traced back to the landholdings of John Penn, son of William Penn, founder of PA. These records are intact at the Westmoreland County Court House, Greensburg, Pa.

The burial grounds for this family may be found at Hills Church Cem., Export, Pa., where all Wolf Gravestones are in front of the church. Abram, Abraham's son and his family are buried at Hills Church Cem., Export, Pa. Abraham is buried in Denmark Manor Cemetery.

Many members of the Wolf family, including Abraham and his wife, are buried at Denmark Manor Cem., near Harrison City, located in Export, Westmoreland Co., Pa.

Elizabeth Kase was Martin and Ellen Kase’s brother Henry’s dau. as was Ella Kase Holland also. Matilda Kase and Lloyd were children of Martin’s 2nd marr. To Alice Saltzgiver. Margie and Jennie were children of Martin Kase and Priscilla Sterner. This log house was located at Buffalo Valley and Highland rds. Highland used to be called Kase’s hill. It was the home of Martin Kase’s parents Adam and Matilda (Shearer) Kase. Matilda was the daughter of Martin Shearer and Elizabeth Hetrick. Martin was the son of Jacob Shearer Jr. and Christina Dehoff. Jacob Jr. was the son of Johann Jacob Shearer and Maria Barbara Keller. This house was beside Lucinda Shearer Cornbower and her husband Francis Cornbower. Lucinda was a second cousin to Ellen and Martin Kase. Ellen was the last Kase to live here. She sold the house and grounds(3acres) to Francis Cornbower in about 1920. Francis tore it down with help from his daughter Mamie( Klinedinst) Cornbower and it was used as firewood.).

Fed his wife and 6 children by hunting (mostly rabbit) and a garden. During the depression, Clyde helped with road work to pay his taxes. He also helped build the "Adams School."

Clyde and Viola moved from Hahntown ro Cereal (North Huntingdon Twp.)after the death of Alexander (Clyde's father) in 1922. They raised their 6 children in a 4 room house.
